Review on HONOR Band 5 Global Smart Bracelet, Black by Wiktor Iwanski ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The product is faulty in some way, I definitely won't buy it again.

I must say right away that the experience of use is 3 days, I usually write reviews after a while, but here, in my opinion, everything is clear right away. The pedometer lies at times. In the photo you can see the difference in readings with MiBand2, both bracelets were on the arm all day. Terms of use - a sedentary day at home + playing with the baby on the carpet (transferring toys, reading books, etc.). I noticed that in about 10 minutes of sitting with the child on the carpet (without going anywhere), the bracelet counted ~ 50 steps (probably, it counts hand movements when you reach for a toy, etc.) as steps. Everything would be fine, but Xiaomi MiBand2 didn’t count anything superfluous next to it, which means it can be better . In the attached photo, my comparison result for the day. Measurement of SPo2, as it seemed to me, is best done on the back of the wrist. If the hand is not thin and the vessels are not close to the surface, this may be the only option (because the bracelet tries to illuminate the skin and vessels with LEDs). Even on my rather thin hand, this does not always work. The pulse measures in comparison with MiBand2 with a difference of + -3 beats / min. Almost the same. If it weren't for the kosyachny pedometer, everything is more or less good.

Pros
  • The screen is bright and clear Functionality After the last ate, it measures SPo2 (if I don’t confuse anything, this is very important for informed hypochondriacs in the era of COVID-19 :). Purchased in 2022 officially. In the Huawei Health app, sleep parameters are described in some detail. Somehow controls the music (the phone is not Huawei / Honor). But I'm not critical, so I did not evaluate in detail. Can display notifications and messages (there are no complaints about the font and screen capacity)
Cons
  • Disgusting accuracy of the pedometer (compared to MiBand 2), but my specific conditions of use may be to blame. The SPo2 measurement is weird. Yesterday it showed normally even if the bracelet is worn like a watch, today it only works if you place the bracelet on the back of your wrist. Or it shows 92-93% on top, and 98% on the back. The Huawei Health app connects the bracelet only if you turn on geolocation (hello, paranoia). Otherwise, for a few seconds it just pretends to be trying to connect - of course, unsuccessfully. To download watch faces not from a meager standard set, you need to install additional software on your phone (and, judging by the comments from w3bsit3-dns. Com, not from the market, but from w3bsit3-dns. Com). In the Huawei Health app, the "Summarize steps with phone" option is enabled. Disconnect without dancing with a tambourine, as I understand it, is impossible.

A good bracelet for my tasks, but could be more comfortable
