All in all a good buy
Regarding assembly, it wasn't as confusing as I thought. It's easy to slip on and once it's off you lose your grip. I assembled the base frame before gifting it to my granddaughters. This allowed them to place some decorative elements and furniture in the castle themselves. It was good because I didn't want them sitting over my shoulder looking forward to the game starting and going through the small bits. I never played with dolls as a grandma, but I did play on Christmas morning and it was fun.
