Cheap product

I bought this universal pump to use as a drain pump in my basement. It pulls water upstairs from my washing machine and out the basement. This product was to replace a pump I've had for over 6 years because the float switch on my old one broke. After 3 months the pump blocked and stopped working. I had to put a new float switch in my old pump because the company will not replace or return a defective product. This may be an isolated case but I am still very disappointed at the cost and inconvenience of a product that only lasted 3 months.
