I saw in reviews that some people had problems with the Model 3 so I'll just post my positive experiences. I use it with suction - only with great success on my rather heavy iPhone 8Plus, and the metal plate doesn't interfere with wireless charging for me or my wife with her smaller iPhone 8. Just hold the plate at the bottom of the phone; that's what i do Doesn't stop me from wirelessly charging horizontally or vertically on my bedside charger. I also attached the mount to the back of my Model 3 giant screen where it comes out UP and not to the side as that is the best place for my personal visibility. I hit him with my cell phone. horizontally, pushed up, and it doesn't even vibrate. It is great! Also, what's great about this product is that the metal plates that you need to attach to your phone come with clear vinyl stickers that you can stick on your phone and then stick the plate onto the sticker. That way you don't stick anything directly to the phone and if you decide to remove it later you can start by removing the clear vinyl sticker. Great little addition they give you!
