Review on Accu Gage Bicycle Gauge Presta Valve by Timothy Johnson

This gauge works well with my Presta readings protruding 1 inch from the rim, which is quite a lot. Some reviewers have complained that even shorter values don't work with the gauge and blame the gauge and they are right in that the description should state what size valve stem is needed. However, this limitation does not apply to all of my bikes and does apply most people don't, and a longer shim is likely to increase trace performance. If you have short set values, you should probably look elsewhere. Someone here said that 19 or 20mm is needed. Not sure but on my cyclocross bike the valves are just under 24mm (1 inch) and it works fine. Also, the valves have removable cores (for sealant) and this type of valve will not work with my existing Planet Bike Presta/Schrader gauge with a short seal. removable cores (most tubes have a non-removable core) c).
