Hard plastic plug not soft

On some devices, the hard plastic plug does not fit in the battery compartment. It can be cut like I did for the garage door remote. So it was a good buy with just enough wires to get to the solder joints. Apply a drop of battery grease to the positive terminal to prevent corrosion.
