These mirrors are well designed and built. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, there is a problem: the ball joint stem lock nut is too thick and the threads are too short to use. Believe me I even tried grinding some material but to no avail. Luckily the hole in the handlebar mount is threaded so all you have to do is attach the ball mount as others have described, ditch the oversized nut and, if you need a lock nut, get a super thin one. suitable (this should also be threaded). My under-grille mirrors work great, with great visibility the full width of the road behind me and little distortion. In fact, I only use the left one. They actually appear to be reversible once fully disassembled, so I have a spare. Hopefully future production batches will have a long enough ball joint/bolt.
