I bought a switch for my home security system to replace a broken door switch. The switch must normally be open, which means that when the door is opened, the switch is open. The term "closer" refers to the switch, not the door! The manufacturer offers switches in all configurations. Among the various types, Open Circuit Shutdown Type is the most suitable. What leaves me speechless is the sheer lack of understanding of what they are selling. According to the description, the dimensions of the item are 5.4 x 5 x 1.3 inches. This is utter nonsense. It would be important to know the diameter of the switch. This turned out to be about 1mm larger than the defective one and didn't penetrate the hole. I trimmed the diameter a bit and made the hole a bit bigger with a chisel so the switch would eventually fit. When I attached it with the two small screws that came with it, the ball stuck when pressed. Fortunately, loosening one of the screws solved the problem. Another thing that strikes you is that when you buy a switch it will cost you around $14. If you buy four of these, you pay $101. 1 star for this nonsense is too much.
