Doesn't work on MacBook Pro

My MacBook Pro is currently running macOS 10.13.6 and it's not working. When I try to find it in devices it is not recognized. I've tried to find the manufacturer's website for installation help, but to no avail. I've tried finding this online for help on other forums and have been unsuccessful. It should be plug and play, but it isn't. ------ Update ------ I am currently using macOS BigSur and it works better than I intended. I can use any of the SD card slots (from phone, camera and GoPro) and it works great. I have changed my rating from 1 to 5 stars.
