I think that there are simply no alternatives to this phone in the camp of android devices. And if you consider that of the compact flagships, now in general the choice is only between a pixel and a Samsung, then even more so. Has pros: It is worth trying the pixel once and it becomes obvious that this is the only real flagship, a sort of iPhone on Android. While looking at those specs, you can't see it, but you should take it in your hand. So the facts: 1. Works very quickly and most importantly - very smoothly. Perhaps such smoothness can only be found on Huawei, and on iPhones. Any Samsung and Xiaomi are not close by this parameter. Compared personally. 2. The camera is still top-notch, if we are talking about the "take it out - take it out" mode, without any fuss with manual modes. But there is one remark about the camera, I'll tell you more in the "flaws". 3. Bezglyuchnost and ates. I already have the fourth generation of pixels, and perhaps these are the only phones that I did not have in constant expectation that "an ate will be released soon and this bug will be fixed." The bug caught only one, on the third generation (it spontaneously rebooted twice), but a week after the purchase, another ate came out that fixed this problem. There is no need to talk about the fact that pixels are the first to receive all android ates and new features. 4. Aesthetic minimalism without sacrificing functionality. The shell is just perfect. Easy, thoughtful, logical, fast, the interface is intuitive and almost all the necessary chips are already out of the box. At the same time, you don’t have to turn off a ton of pre-installed garbage or delve into the wilds of settings to turn off annoying ads. 5. Surprisingly good autonomy. On average, smart works a day with 5 hours of screen. At the same time, one owner from a well-known forum posted tests on YouTube, where he compared the pixel with the iphone xr and samsung s10e, and in both cases the pixel came out the winner. Test mode: brightness of both displays 400 nits, YouTube, browsing, games. I trust these tests more than obscure bloggers. 6. Face unlock is really convenient. 7. Design. To me, the design of the 3/4 pixel (in black) is very reminiscent of the design of the iPhone 7. It feels expensive and elite. Different cons: Camera. If we talk about the main one - even though it is the best to date, BUT. There are no, absolutely no visible changes compared to the pixel 3 / 3a camera. I compared myself. All difference is within the margin of error. Moreover, the front camera is noticeably WORSE than on the pixel 3, it is the same as on the budget pixel 3a, and this is completely incomprehensible to me. The Pixel 3 is still the leader in front camera quality, and the leader by a wide margin. And the selfies from the pixel 4 are now almost the same as on the iPhone 11, well, maybe just a little bit better. Why it was necessary to worsen (hardware, not software) the camera of the new flagship, I absolutely do not understand. If the trend continues, then next year the iPhone will overtake the pixel on the cameras.
