Review on ๐ŸŒ Enhanced Connectivity and Safety: Discover the Spot Satellite GPS Messenger Unit by Zane Myers

Finally ordered and satisfied

After reading a lot about SPOT Messenger I ordered it with bated breath that it would work. The reviews for this device are really mixed with some reviews stating that the device does not work at all. I ordered SPOT about a week before my motorcycle trip to Big Bend, Texas. I wanted something that would let friends and family know my whereabouts and be able to call for help if I had a breakdown or something worse that was out of cell phone range. Setup and registration worked without problems. I signed up for an additional add-on service that allows me to queue on the SPOT website so people can see where I am at all times. In general, the device worked. I installed it on top of my motorcycle tail bag and it worked in "Track Me" mode for about 8 hours a day for 3 days. I've used the logging feature every time I've stopped for gas (about every 2 hours) and the device has been logging my location about every ten minutes since I enabled Track Me. it is better to say that it is a completely clear view of the sky) seems necessary. When I "checked in" at a gas station, I noticed that the message was queued (you can tell by the blinking sequence) when I was under the canopies of the pavilions that most gas stations have over their pumps, although these pavilions are very large there are no major complaints. Some quibble - you press and hold the buttons (register etc.) until they start flashing - this way you know the button press has been confirmed. It's hard to tell when your finger is actually on the button. The other issue is that this device has now been replaced with a newer version which I can upgrade for $99. No, this device worked during my trip and I will continue to use it. I will post my future impressions.
