Review on Sabrent SATA III (6 Gbit/S) Right Angle Data Cable With Locking Latch For HDD/SSD/CD And DVD Drives (3 Pack - 20-Inch) In Blue (CB-SRB3) by Joshua Garris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like the perfect toaster, it just works - flawlessly

I bought a Sabrent EC-SS31 1.5" USB 3.1 HDD/SSD Adapter to convert internal 128GB SATA SSDs to three Dell 9020M Optiplex to new 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSDs to clone at work.the cable came with a usb cable.adapter -C which i didn't use.the end of the year is always busy for our company.we find out if we can buy new toys how much we can spend and insist we do it all before the end of the year for taxes this year we were forced from windows 7 to windows 10 but they didn't call "new computers". And the Commands were "make what we have, better and more durable". Operation 2012. I expected to replace them in 2017 but they worked perfectly. At the end of 2018 we ran out of built-in RAM. Now was the key so that everything works to increase the amount of memory - unfortunately I had no experience with disk cloning attend Oh good. After extensive research, I decided to use the Samsung 860 EVO 1TB drives to replace the overwhelmed 128GB SSDs. n boxes. Reviews, tech tests etc have shown that the 860 EVO is better in every way regardless of size and 1TB should give us enough headroom for the next 5-7 years as the actual storage is provided by the NAS. The userbenchmark.com site was invaluable in this regard. After that, the next step was to connect the drive. Reviews I've read here and elsewhere (including the site above) have shown that there have been many cable manufacturers, but Sabrent has consistently popped up as successful, trouble-free, well-made, solid, reliable, etc. across the board. but the only manufacturer that consistently performed well was Sabrent, regardless of price. That's why I chose the Sabrent, although it certainly wasn't the cheapest. The last piece of the puzzle was the software. It was a real challenge, everyone seems to have their own favorite, but everyone had horror stories and 'fixes' that mostly work - usually from hobbyists and gamers. Accronis was well thought out and available from Sabrent. Samsung also releases software specifically for this purpose that is free to use on its drives. This limits Samsung software reviews, but the existing reviews were very reliable. When I was done, I budgeted the hard drives, cables, software as a purchase, and three days of project time. I figured each machine would idle between 3 and 8 hours. I was wrong! Dell had 128GB Samsung SATA SSDs. The Sabrent cable fits perfectly. Samsung's free software was sophisticated, polished, simple, flawless, smooth and fast. I mean very quickly. The first box, which I expected to take 4-5 hours including unattended downtime just to do the migration, took 30 minutes including physically swapping drives after the migration was complete. The translation itself took less than 10 minutes. The only reason it worked was because the Sabrent cable worked fine.

Pros
  • Fully compliant with the SATA III specification and delivering transfer rates of up to 6 Gbit/s (600 MB/s).
Cons
  • Great Price
