This seemed to work right away with a SanDisk Extreme SSD used as an external drive on the Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspbian Buster. Formatted the drive normally and accepted file transfer and so on. I used this cable when upgrading my MacBook Pro and wife's hard drives (from HDD to SSD). I love this cable so much I bought two more along with this one. I have a lot of SSDs and two laptop hard drives that I use regularly for different purposes. I always use these Sabrent USB to SSD adapters to clone my new SSDs and HDDs, which has happened quite a bit over the last year. I've used these Sabrent SSD cables regularly for everything from laptops to at least six different desktops. I've never had problems with data transfer - neither with USB 2.0 interfaces nor with USB 3.0. I bought
