The product described and illustrated here does NOT match the image on the packaging or instructions. It's like they are two different products. Firstly, the product is described as having an adhesive panel for attaching to the dashboard (it does, but the 3 unused bosses with screw holes are confusing and unsightly looking). The protective layer that peels off to reveal the sticky gel is very difficult to remove. You'll probably damage it in the process - I did that. 2nd: The phone holder is described as being attached to the plate by vacuum suction with a locking switch. NO start switch; and generally NO VACUUM function. In other words, ZERO suction. The holder also has a sticky gel on the bottom that sticks to the base. These are two sticky gels used to attach the product to the dashboard. That means if you ever want to remove the phone holder from the bottom panel, you'll have to pry it off. It is not attached with the vacuum function. The product comes with a "lock" ring, but it has no function as the phone holder is attached to the base plate with a sticky gel, not a vacuum lock. The product is 95% plastic which worries me about how long it will last. Sticky gels are problematic as they can come loose in a hot car. In fact, the instructions suggest blowing cold air from the air conditioner onto the unit so it doesn't come out in vain. It's difficult when you mount it on the dashboard. The product does not match the advertised price and does NOT match the advertised description. And I have concerns about the shelf life and how long it will last. I would neither recommend nor buy this product again.
