I've read the other reviews posted for this pin display and from the pictures I figured it certainly wasn't *that* cumbersome to use can be! It looked so SIMPLE with little flaps for each pin! It wasn't that expensive so why not give it a try! I should have listened to the reviews describing how to do this. It is inconvenient to use this display. Once upon a time, before a wide variety of pins and styles were available, this display probably would have been *perfect*. The problem, however, is that everyone is making their pins BIGGER these days! BETTER! MORE! And it's NOT a display that Bigger Better Bigger can *handle*. When I first got it and looked at it I thought it would be easy to use more than one small valve for the big pins. Can't be that hard, can it? Spring. Yes and no. Small pens measuring 1" x 1" - IN MAXIMUM RESOLUTION - would work great on this display. NOTHING more and the problems start. The way the display is stitched so there are three separate sections of the display means it can be very inconvenient to stick your fingers on the back of the mounting layer to attach the back of the stylus unless , the pen fits snugly on top of the tiny little flap designed to accommodate a needle. And when you have to fiddle around and stick your fingers in, it's a pretty constant struggle to get stuck until you've put all your pins on. And if you want to be able to rearrange contacts frequently. then I hope you enjoy the disappointment because this project is bad enough for the first time. Taking it apart to adjust the display when you get new pins is something of a bit of a nightmare. This product would work *much better* if the layer you put the pins through was just perforated so that each person could cut the tabs to size. the exact size for the desired needle. When that's all already carved with keys too small for most fun pens today? Inconvenient for the user.
