ORIGINALREVIEW ################ Universal rotors are $50 and up at local parts stores. Branded store dust-free pads start at $60. So you expect to spend $320 or more to do a complete brake job with mediocre parts, and a lot more if you go to the dealer for lack of better performance. Pads, high temperature guide grease, new clamps and dust boots for your calipers are only a few dollars more expensive than regular name brand parts. But performance is not universal. I installed them on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. My existing pads were worn out and I had just changed tires from 35" to 37" so I needed new brakes. I have already fitted brakes and they fit without any problems. I went through the break-in process and was disappointed that these brakes didn't even feel as good as the stock brakes. So I called Power Stop to speak to someone on the support team. I was able to get through to someone quickly and he suggested that I try inviting them over again and giving them some time to really get used to it. I'm glad I did. After driving 25 miles with the new brakes I was able to get my tires back to normal. howl. After driving another 50 miles I was able to get the ABS to work on dry roads. That impressed me a bit because I couldn't get my ABS to work on a dry pavement before bumping up to 37 seconds. If you don't have money for Big Brake upgrades, improve your Jeep JK's stopping power with bigger tires. TO EDIT ################################################# ################################################# # ################################################# ################################################## ### ############################################# and May 19, my pads are less than 30% discharged and I don't drive much. Front right beeps intermittently. But today I had to stop in panic not once but twice and I'm sure I wouldn't have stopped in time with standard pads/discs. It's a bit of a shame that they wear out so quickly, but I've heard that's pretty common with high-performance pads. I've ordered a new set of pads, let's see how long they last.
