This mouse pad will wear out after a few months. I ordered 2 of these and have had them for a little over a year now and with daily use you can feel marks on the surface of the mouse pads where they are smooth and marks where they have left a bit of texture. Textured areas allow the optical mouse to function properly, but areas where you feel the mat is slippery prevent the mouse's optical sensor from reading information properly. Unfortunately, with normal use, this results in the entire central area of the pad being worn and unusable, while only the underused edges still have enough mouse-readable texture. I use these mouse pads on a glass topped desk and within 20 minutes of normal use I can look down and see that the pad has rotated 90 degrees. The back of this seal will not stick to smooth glass. 3M is a good company with usually good products, but this is not one of them.
