Not suitable for use with an Apple mouse. I have two mouse pads and use them with two different Apple mice and both have the normal problem. The surface of the mouse pad has a texture that rubs off the black stripe on the bottom of the mouse that curls up and sticks to the mouse pad. It had to be cleaned daily as the black stained stick would bother the mouse.

Great product, looks neat with a simple design and works great with an optical mouse. One problem is that it smells like fresh asphalt or burnt rubber. The smell went away after 2 weeks but was quite penetrating and it took me a while to realize that there was no construction going on nearby, just gas from the mouse pad. I've been using this mat for over a year now. I use it with Logitech M720. For some reason I can't figure out, the texture of this mouse pad gnaws at the bottom of my rubber/plastic mouse. Everything is clean - there is no mold or dirt. The bottom of my mouse is smooth now. Black spots on a mouse pad scratch off easily, and it scratches off much like a scratching post on a lottery ticket. So it's easy to clean, but it just comes right back. I've had the mouse for pretty much exactly 10 months and it's too worn out to use seriously, I'm an avid gamer but it hasn't touched that my desk has been abused has been treated or spilled on it and has slight bulges on the plastic top and discoloration of the color where I move the mouse a lot (the gray design rubs off and creates white spots). Nice mouse pads. I bought this because my mouse doesn't perform well on my desk. I have both foam and sticky versions. Both pads track exceptionally well. I ordered 2 of these and have had them for a little over a year now and with daily use you can feel marks on the surface of the mouse pads where they are smooth and marks where they have left a bit of texture. Textured areas allow the optical mouse to function properly, but areas where you feel the mat is slippery prevent the mouse's optical sensor from reading information properly. Update: This is my third mouse pad and the thickness of the mouse pad has changed a lot. Now it is very subtle and not essential. The surface is the same, but there is almost no rubber seal. Producers succeed and of course have to spoil everything by cutting costs. The disadvantage of a thin pad is that it can easily be dented and then deteriorate.
