Now I don't have to worry about temperature changes, and the suction cup that comes with the Tomtom XL 4.3-inch GPS Navigator will fall off again. Even if the tomtom GPS power connector is on the bottom of the device if you have the original tomtom charging cable. , should work fine. A small issue I have is the angle of the GPS unit after it is placed in the mount (it's personal only). I do however have a tom tom bean bag dash mount (replacing those) that has a raised lip at the back, I put this mount on top of it and it works great and it stays more securely on the old dash panel You use this unit alone it still stays secure on the dashboard. My dash is a Honda CR-V, but I would understand why, as some reviewers said, it doesn't sit securely on the dash due to the smaller footprint. It comes with tape on the back of the device if you want to use it. However, I want it to be easy to switch to another vehicle, so I won't be using it, especially now that it works well on the tomtom dash mount.
