Review on VISM NcStar Molle Green CPV2915G by Timothy Barnes

Great idea, poor execution

I might have a lemon, but I'm not happy. The best part of the setup was the extra mag pouches on the belt. The first problem I had was putting the vest on. When sewing on straps, they either connected the thread from one strap to another or simply never cut the thread between them. The thread itself is so light that a little effort expended putting my hand inside the vest ripped it through. Not sure if this affects the PALS harnesses or not as I have chosen not to wear anything on the vest. Once the vest was on, my wife and I began adjusting it. No matter how loose or tight we made it, the central part between the buckles where the zipper used to be continued to bulge. I'm medium height and was expecting this to happen a bit due to the lack of a zip, but it was bad enough that if I tried to put something on the vest it would interfere with it. I then slipped the belt through the pant loops to try and tighten the vest to avoid this problem. This caused part of the mesh to break in the shoulder area. Again, I knew the vest wasn't of the highest quality, but I take good care of my new toy. Once the vest was not too tight or loose, my wife grabbed the carry handle and tugged a little (she is 5'4" and 115 pounds) and ripped off almost the entire right side. I removed the vest and began taking her apart to see if I could salvage her or use her parts for something else, which is why I gave her 2 barrels. The back of the vest that holds the bladder is decently made (apart from the handle for carry), the sling carries a decent amount of weight (be careful not to use a holster clip on this sling. I buckled and removed my holster once and the threads are now fraying), and the mag pouches hold my M&P 9mm mags pretty well up to 17rd .I am considering returning it but am waiting to see what the seller tells you via my email.I hope this helps and remember this would make a great cosplay costume.I bought this to get some exercise get but i'm too scared that the vest falls apart when I attach something to it.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
