Like brown. These are comfortable, easily adjustable vests that can be worn with a large amount of light gear. Remember this is a *summer* setup; It has mesh on the front so you can't put too much weight on it. (Use a plate holder if you have to carry a lot of heavy stuff.) I bought it to wear a tank. I have a 78ci 4500psi cf tank in a Dyecam Molle pouch and I wanted it to be comfortable to carry on my back. I might have a lemon, but I'm not happy. The best part of the setup was the extra mag pouches on the belt. The first problem I had was putting the vest on. When sewing on straps, they either connected the thread from one strap to another or simply never cut the thread between them. The thread itself is so light that a little effort expended putting my hand inside the vest ripped it through. Not sure if this affects the PALS harnesses or not as I have chosen not to wear anything on the vest…
