Halved when first used.

I was washing the floor in the kitchen and the metal rod bent and broke in two. The pole itself collapsed without effort. After that I thought, "Wow! It was really soft metal." I didn't even get to use the brush. The bristles are medium soft, this is not an aggressive brush.
