I gave this one a star because the heater stopped working after only 6 months. I didn't need much either. I've always loved this Conair hot air brush. It was easy to use, heats up a lot and dries hair quickly. This was my third. The first lasted a few years before the heating element stopped working. Although the second didn't seem to last that long. I received this in November and the heating element was dead in April. Big disappointment. $40 isn't a lot, but it's a lot when I need to replace it so quickly. I finally ordered a new heat gun brush, but it's not Conair. I don't risk it happening again. I hope the next one will be much better!
