If your fan cuts out, locate the fuse in the plug. One side of the connector (the electrical one) lists what size (2.5A) and voltage fuse the fan requires. Most importantly, clean dirt around the motor and blades, then spray some wd40 on the stand that spins the blades wherever they are. After inserting the fuse, make sure it touches the brass and silver areas. . Make sure you insert it deeply, otherwise it won't touch. When you turn on the fan for the first time after changing the fuse, it may not work or you may find that it barely spins. A little more wd40, then the blades will help a little. .leave it plugged in and it should be up and running in less than a few minutes. Based on my own trial and error over several months, I was trying to fix a couple of good fans I bought at Walmart that had fuses in the plug. Hope that helps.
