Review on Sceptre FreeSync E248B FPT168: Frameless DisplayPort Monitor with Built-in Speakers, Wall Mountable & Tilt Adjustment - Full HD 1920X1080P, Flicker-Free & IPS Panel by Chris Boyer

Extremely disappointed

I ordered 2 of these 11 months ago to use in a dual monitor setup. I was disappointed from the start. I was initially skeptical about buying these monitors because of the price ($200) and the specs that were being offered for that price. The monitor can't run at 165Hz, sometimes it can but can't keep up. Screen tearing at this refresh rate is almost always there, every day. I'd have to refresh the signal every time to get a smooth 165Hz. until I decided I'd had enough and just turned on the monitor at 144Hz. dead pixels on a monitor. like 7 or 8 of them which I have no idea how happened. the colors are not very good. especially for ips panels. it was disappointing. Screen tearing also occurred with free sync enabled. I've tried playing around with the overdrive settings but to no avail. I am selling these 2 monitors choosing a more reliable and reputable competitor. Very disappointed, the monitors are barely a year old.
