I bought this capture card with the idea of using it to stream workout videos. I needed to transfer the HDMI output from a laptop to a PC, combine it with a webcam and sound from an audio system, and stream using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). It supports OBS and other streaming software. I can use the stream from this device as a video capture card source in OBS. My conclusion: The adapter is small and works very well. Full HDMI 1080p without a bulky power supply. I'm replacing it with a more expensive Epiphan DVI2USB device without sacrificing functionality. Our application is PowerPoint/Keynote HDMI laptop with USB output to MacBookPro with MiMo broadcast/streaming software, works without problems.
