Review on Waterproof And Stain-Resistant RESILIA Shelf Liners For Garage Wire Shelving - Heavy Duty, Washable Clear Vinyl Rolls, 20"X 25Ft by Bill Kodba

High End Product. in my review

These are expensive, and for the price I had high expectations. I did some comparison shopping at my local hardware store and found something that was comparable (albeit not as thick as the Resilia liner) $2.50 a foot. That makes this product reasonable, and when you factor in the performance a good value. My high expectations were absolutely met with this product. I ordered the 25’ roll and immediately noticed the weight – this is not a cheap product; it’s durably constructed and quite thick. Because of this, I expected it to retain its shape and need some time to unroll, but it was surprisingly flexible, and it did not retain any of the arc so I could use it immediately. To test its surface, I spilled a few different fluids on it - including a few drops of oil. Every liquid had the same reaction, it beaded up and was easily wiped clean. This is hands down better performance than most of the liners I've used previously.I installed it on shelving in my garage where I keep my automotive supplies. After degreasing the plastic and putting these in, I’m confident that any future spills will be far easier to clean-up and the surface will be protected indefinitely. The roll was easy to cut (I used scissors, a razor-knife, and snips – all worked without issue.) I have used about half the roll so far and will be using the rest in my wife’s pottery room to line her plant shelves. The only negative I found was the way it came cut, the roll was not square so it needed some trimming.

Pros
  • The waterproof feature means you can even store damp items without worrying about damaging your shelving
Cons
  • Can make it difficult to slide items onto the shelf, especially if the liner is not perfectly flat
