I bought this for my daughter to use in her 4th floor 2 bedroom apartment. She lives in Vermont and doesn't need constant AC power. But the heat is rising and getting cool evening air into the apartment is a problem. When I brought this into her apartment she was skeptical that it would be anything other than the weak fan she already had, but she admits it's magical. Because it can tilt, the fan spins to blow air out the window and blow hot air through the skylight in one of the bedrooms. She can be standing in another bedroom on the other side of the apartment and feel the cool air blowing hard through the window. In 20 minutes the apartment cooled down to outside temperature. She saves on air conditioning because she can cool her apartment from 85 to 68 degrees in just a few minutes with just one fan. If she is at home during the day, she can turn on the fan and there is never a build-up of heat. The fan sits firmly on a typical apartment carpet. The sound of an industrial fan, but that's the price you have to pay to have a cool apartment in minutes! This is a serious fan doing some serious work.
