Very comfortable. We took a little kitten and let her sleep with us for the first few days, but unfortunately we woke up in poop because the little girl didn't understand that she had to go. So we set out her favorite fluffy blanket, a stuffed animal that smelled like me, a small cardboard tray, food and water. She will also sleep there during the day. It saved our sanity as well as our sleep. Now she can reach the tray but we caught her sleeping with our 8 month old daughter so we lock her up at night for her safety. I also see how this works for someone who has an animal who has children, keeps them together and is still separated from all other animals in the household.
