They are very large and fit easily on our pillow top mattress and the extra duvet we have on top of it. The corners stay securely in place and the sheets stay flat on the bed despite the loose fit. Pleasant to the touch - it's smooth and comfortable to put on, but not so silky that you slip everywhere. The dark gray color looks great. I don't know if the sheets themselves are cool - I get warm at night lying on them, but they certainly feel refreshing when I first go to bed.
