Review on πŸ’₯ CyberPower CSP300WUR1: Powerful Professional Surge Protector with 3 Outlets and 2 USB Charge Ports by Jason Dahlkemper

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Disappointing - power strips and surge protectors

I really liked other CyberPower products, especially their UPS systems. I had the same high hopes for this one despite being cheap. Unfortunately, this article is now in the trash. First, the included screw for attaching the device to my outlet is too short - it needs to be lengthened about 1/4 inch to attach securely. So I pulled the screw out and bought a #6-32 x 1.75" screw from the hardware store. The head of the screw was too big to fit in the unit so I carefully hand drilled the hole enlarged and now the longer screw head fits in. Well if it fits the new screw works. So I let my iPad charge via the USB ports for a couple of hours and found it was about 5% charged. About 2 -3% per hour to charge the iPad is relatively useless. Since I "modified" the device for a screw, I won't go back to Revain. I have an Anker charger instead: it's more expensive, but Anker Works great This CyberPower went in the trash It was cheap so you get what you pay for Lesson learned.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
