Review on Projector TOPTRO Bluetooth Carrying Compatible Television & Video by Kaveen Reyes

When the pandemic hit (and we decided to keep people out of the house), our best friends bought a cheap projector so we could watch movies outside. It was about $60 and it was ok but not great. I wondered if we could do better. Another friend has an Epson projector, which is very smart but costs $1,000. I told my husband I could buy us a decent 10 foot wide screen and projector for about $750. He told me I had $500 and I got to work... I spent a Saturday morning browsing options and found this projector for $260 but with a $50 coupon. I read the reviews and it looked promising. But can it really be good for $210 I wonder? The device arrived a few days later and I installed it. It was surprisingly bright. Pulling it outside in the dark it was bright and well-focused right into the corners of our screen - the menu text was crisp and legible. For reference, the distance between the pillars in the photos is about 11 feet. I had some concerns about how good the digital keystone correction might be, but I didn't have to worry. Before finding a higher platform, I corrected to about 8 in the menu and didn't notice any image degradation. A week or two after use, I noticed a bug-sized stain on the projection screen. Even though the projector had a removable dust filter, something still got inside. I contacted support and they advised me to clean the screen, which I must admit caused me some concern as the device had to be disassembled and the circuit board removed to access the screen itself. It was quite inconvenient and I had some trouble reconnecting the ribbon connector afterwards, but the offending dust particle was immediately apparent and easily blown away. So not a great experience. But it worked and I will know what to do next time. I've considered downgrading my rating for this to a one star, but I guess that can happen with any projector... I just wish screen access was a little easier for the faint of heart. I have to say that the image quality on this device is just as good as on the much more expensive Epson. All that's really missing is extra connectivity (Epson will connect to just about any cable you have handy), and Epson will set itself up, do its own keystone correction and focusing, and so on. As long as you're using an HDMI source (or a composite cable - but why would you?) you're fine. I usually swipe a Roku or FireStick off one of our TVs and use them (and there's a USB port next to each HDMI socket to provide power). Some RCA stereo outputs would be nice, but a $15 to two XLR adapter cable allows me to connect audio to our PA speakers and works well enough. So, especially for the price, I can only recommend it.
