Review on La Crosse Alerts Mobile 926-25004-WGB - WaterLeak πŸ’§ Probe Add-On Sensor for La Crosse Wireless Monitor System by Jessie Duhon

You have to pay for basic alerts for each installed sensor.

I had very high expectations for this product but was ultimately disappointed to find out that the post-trial monthly fee is per sensor. Such as: 1. Body and email notification2. The device maintained a good connection with the sensors. I was pleasantly surprised as they are on two different floors. Dislikes: 1. You can only enter email address and phone number to send notification. Tech support says they can add more. I assume almost all of the people buying this are family members and both husband and wife want to be notified. The sensor and the sensor in the freezer next to each other will give a difference of up to 3 degrees.3. During setup, the gateway was difficult to register and buzzed. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on when plugged in.4. When setting the alarm, the Android app on the Samsung S9+ says that you can set a negative level, but shows a numeric keypad without a minus sign. You can do it with PC.5. It took tech support a full day to get my email back and it was impossible for me to get through on the phone. No support for IFTTT application for automation.7. Each sensor requires a simple subscription to text notifications and email notifications. This was a deal breaker for me. In my eyes, this is my internet connection, my device and my power. I should be able to set up the device to send text or email directly from the device and my internet connection without using their server. Why should or do I have to pay a subscription fee? The design of the firmware is such that they generate a steady income rather than providing a reliable and affordable sensor. If you can handle the dislike I suggest go ahead and give them your money.
