PERFECT ECONOMIC SOLUTION

This is an almost ideal economical solution for storing large numbers of hard drives for video editing. Even 4TB drives fill up quickly when using the ProRes (HQ) codec on longer multi-camera projects, and it's important to have a good storage layout for these drives. Others sell various hard-wall cases, but they have 2 problems: (A) can't be hermetically sealed unless you close the bag on the outside of the case, and (B) doesn't offer impact protection. The airtight seal works well (we add a small sachet of silica gel to keep things dry). Silicone Forensics also sells their "Classic Hard Drive Transporter" which we use for on set protection and shipping. But this "transporter" isn't hermetically sealed, and its business-card-sized information sleeve on the outside doesn't allow you to print an inventory of what's on the disk. while this anti-static bubble wrap will hold a full sheet of paper (folded).
