Review on Solimo 5-Blade Razor for Women with Handle, 12 Cartridges & Shower Hanger - Compatible with Solimo Razor Handles only, by Amazon Brand by Laura Valenzuela

Very satisfied good for cartridge razor

I have been a reluctant Gillette Venus (GV) user for the past 15 years. I say reluctantly because, let's be honest, $13 is the cheapest price you'll pay for 4 cartridges?! Ouch! But every time I tried something cheaper I was disappointed, so I reluctantly chose the GV. I'm happy to announce that I've officially converted! My husband is a fireman and he likes his head shaved almost to the pores. Usually 2-3 cartridges are issued for one head. You could call me a lazy shaver - I've put it off for so long that if I actually shave you'll be able to sculpt a fake stuffed hamster out of all the hair I shave off my body. Usually one cartridge is enough for my shave, but of course one cartridge lasts a little longer than 2 sessions. So my husband and I use 4 packs of cartridges every few weeks, about $26 a month; that's over $300 a year! 😳I have now used both the Solimo men's and women's razors twice, one for each leg and armpit, and a women's razor for my.ahem.Nether Regions. Both times I was shaved very closely, no cuts, stings or irritation from the razor and I didn't miss a single blemish. I've posted photos with the Venus in the center to compare sizes, shapes and looks and one of them shows the cartridges attaching (as stated in the details, Solimo cartridges do not attach to Venus grips). I will list my pros and cons for both as follows. Pros for women: - Love the grip, it's hard to lose - LOTS of moisturizing vitamin E lube compared to a single GV strip - Friendly *lady parts* no irritation - Very close shave - Easy to replace cartridges - Will Comes with a suction cup shower hanger Cons for women: Vitamin E gets very slippery on first use; after that it settles down - the head of the cartridge is significantly larger than the GV I use, takes a little getting used to the men's pros: - firm grip, even feels heavy - nice smooth close shave - pivoting head as pictured on the Pictures - smooth metal finish - easy to replace cartridges too Cons for men: - handle is heavier relative to cartridge almost uncomfortable to use - little lubrication Overall I'm very happy with these two razors and look forward to paying a full third of that, what I pay for Gillette Venus razors. Thank you Solimo!
