I confirmed that one of the solenoids in our old valve was defective by testing it with a 12v power supply. Instead of replacing the solenoid I decided to replace the entire valve. Glad you did! I recommend removing the fitting on the old valve before the new one arrives, if possible, to ensure you don't need a new one. I had to use a vise and was able to remove the fitting, but the threads were damaged in the process. Luckily I had what I needed after a trip to the hardware store. The new valve was easy to install and worked well for several months of continuous use. Very satisfied! Once you have everything installed, be sure to check for leaks after deflating the prop guide. Fire up the stove and work a little, then light the heater.
