I just love this rice cooker! Comes in a nice, sturdy, reusable box and really cooks 30 cups of rice without opening the lid. I also have this little brother, a 15 cup pad for small jobs. Both cars are excellent and reliable. Wash everything with soap and water as written in the instructions as liquid will come out on the aluminum from pressing! After the first wash, I fill mine with water to the 30 cup mark, press the mode button (boil) and let it boil for about 15-20 minutes, then unplug and remove the lid. This eliminates the unpleasant smell of metal. It takes about 60 minutes to make 60 cooked cups from full 30 cups of rice. I add rice, water, salt and oil and let it sit for about 30 minutes before starting, then stir and let it cook, automatically magically switches to warm when done. Branch it out to fluff it up and it's ready to rock! Not a single burnt rice stuck to the ground. When finished, add warm water and leave with the lid closed for 15 minutes, rinse and dry with a cloth. No sticking! No waste! Then back in the box next time! I have a large propane rice cooker from another manufacturer, and some rice always goes to waste - burnt or raw.
