This is a very high quality piece of kit--solidly constructed, easy to use, does the job efficiently and well. And it is a nice kit indeed from this seller: you not only get the crimping tool itself, but they throw in a package of pass-through connectors and a wire stripping tool.After watching a couple of YouTube videos to make sure I was doing it correctly, I was able to properly repair a Cat 6 cable I use to link my MacBook Pro to my iMac for transferring large folders of photographs fast as possible. And even though it was my first attempt, I was able to accomplish it quickly and stress-free with this kit. And I'm getting great data-transfer rates.And now I can repair several other cables I have that need a bit of service, including the RJ-11 plug that connects my digital back to my old Hasselblad camera--my back is quite old, and the cables for it are like hen's teeth, very expensive online/on eBay even *if* you can find them. Using this kit will save me a lot of time, money and aggravation that I've already invested trying to find a replacement cable (when I'd rather repair/re-use anyway).I'm not sure how an expert would judge this tool, but for a rank beginner like me, it works very well indeed.
