They are more powerful than the "standard" TP08S sensors. I like color coding. The grooved end retains more heat than the standard, so use caution. You'll notice this if you try to remove the probe with your bare hands after being in a hot smoker. Not sure I like the long length but it wasn't a big deal. I just have to force myself to stop pushing them too deep into the flesh and banging through the bottom. The real test will be durability. I bought these to replace my second set of TP08S meat probes. The fit seems to be good. Matched on both channels of my TP08S between two sensors and with a standard sensor.
