Bought for my son who is a heavy sleeper. It took something loud to wake him up, but not too bright to keep him awake. Like blue lights for numbers because they are easy to read and soothing to the eyes. The sound can be adjusted in volume. Slim design. Doesn't feel very good but made it through the school year with my 17 year old! Like the feature, it saves time when the power goes out, but I've found that it only saves the time internally and doesn't display it when this feature is enabled. would recommend
