This blanket is fine, but don't bury the controller under a warm blanket. It will blow the thermal fuse. Disassembling the controller is easy. Anyone who can solder can find a white cylindrical fuse. Mine was between two resistors and had some thermal paste on it. Plated through holes are smaller than usual, so make sure the new fuse you buy has thin wires. The fuse was rated 84C or 86C (can't remember). I found one online that was 102C. I haven't had any problems, although I don't know if it will pass safety tests. The fuse used was hard to find so I just found a similar one. That can only be done with a wire, but it's too dangerous for me.tldr; If it stops working, disassemble and check/replace the thermal fuse.
