Compact, unobtrusive and wireless! Indicator lights make it easy to check if they are working. I haven't had a major surge yet so I'm not sure they will do the job. However, based on their published specifications, these small devices protect a much wider range of surges, particularly on the low-voltage side, than much more expensive devices. I'm assuming this is a single use device, but they're inexpensive, so don't mind replacing them if they explode due to the spike and my electronics have been saved. Haven't traveled with any of them but the small size makes it easy to pack, and again no cords!
