This thermometer seemed very accurate. We were using another thermometer and it was always 1.5 -2 degrees lower than this one. When comparing to a physicians office thermometer we found the IProven one to be the accurate one. The reading seemed to take about 30 seconds to get a reading which is longer than many other thermometers on the market. A light-up screen would also be helpful when taking temperatures at night. Overall I think this is a very accurate thermometer which is what is most important. If the result time were a little shorter and it had the light-up screen I would have given 5 stars to this product.
