You become so accustomed to using a powerful zoom that it is never enough while shooting with other cameras. I strongly suggest the more recent S-series versions instead because it's a shame it's been discontinued for so long (I especially liked the SX 20 IS). has benefits Excellent macro (from 0 mm - it's genuine! ), high-quality zoom, and a practical rotating display. Numerous manual settings, incl. I frequently utilize the manual focus control that is available. Even in harsh frosts, it shoots well (only the batteries run out faster). Simply a fantastic camera for its day! Cons: You need to use your hands to open the flash, although you get used to this drawback very soon and stop noticing it. Supports cards up to 1GB; you must carry multiple cards.
