Easy to apply anti slip tape

I ordered this anti slip tape for worn wooden stairs. The night before I wiped the ladder down with water and dish soap and let it dry overnight. Measured and counted the conductors, calculated the length of the tape segment; I also cut out a cardboard rectangle showing where the top left corner of each ribbon section goes. I cut the pieces of tape to the right length by marking on the back of the tape with a ballpoint pen and cutting with good quality scissors. I peeled the tape off the first inch, positioned the tape with my cardboard rectangle, and pressed the end of the tape against the ladder. I continued to peel off the tape inch by inch, pressing down on the tape with my other hand. The tape stuck well to the wooden staircase; When the job was done, I went through each section of tape to better press it. Clear tape is unobtrusive on a wooden staircase, but provides a confidently textured anti-slip surface.
