I was looking for the more closed fit that most high waist pants offer and it fits me. They sit right on top of my belly button so they still cover my stomach. I'm 5'5 and 130 pounds and the medium fits perfectly. The drawstring is very long on me, so there is definitely room in the waist. The lace shorts are made from swim fabric and have a 2-3" inseam. They cover enough of the bikini line so I don't have to fidget and see if I'm showing something that people in the pool don't need to see. I like the extra one too Back Cover; I don't always tug on the back of my swim trunks like I usually do.
