I'm new to packaging and was looking for packaging to seal my jerky for longer shelf life. 4 x 6 inches is huge, right? Not right! If you're looking for something that can hold a decent amount of stuff, look for larger bags. This 4 x 6 inch only fits about 2 ounces of beef jerky stuffed inside. At the same time, the problem with the size is my fault (the buyer), not the sellers. The bags are VERY well made, they are very thick and close nicely. Note that you can't vacuum with homemade food sealant because the plastic isn't long enough to reach. But it's great for making little sample packs for my jerky (and I use oxygen scavengers to prevent spoilage).
