Review on 🔌 BTMETER BT-6688B Megohmmeter: High Accuracy Digital Insulation Resistance Tester by Jason Sisawang

Bought to check the installation of a heated bathroom floor. Schluter warranty coverage is dependent on pre- and post-installation testing using a megger. And a standard digital multimeter is incapable of measuring gigaohms and will not provide the required 1000V (Schlueter requirement). This device makes a well-made impression. The meter comes with a stepped, detachable, impact-resistant case to protect the meter. Test leads, batteries, instructions and a carrying case were also included. Overall, value for money seems excellent. He did his job by pointing out that the heating cable wiring (enclosed in a thin layer under the tiles) was not damaged during the installation of the heated tiles. Reason for the 3 star accuracy rating: I can't vouch for the accuracy as I don't have the required mega giga ohm resistors. Likewise, I did not test the accuracy of the high voltage measurement.
