After buying three working WiFi plugs, I first ordered one, then another switch before attempting to properly install the first switch. It turned out that neither of them turned on the light. They connected perfectly to Wi-Fi and I was able to control the switch manually, but unfortunately the light didn't come on through the application. I put the old handset back in and the light worked so it wasn't the light that was faulty. Tried their online help - it takes a long time for anyone to reply in chat. After a while they sent me a link with installation instructions, which I followed anyway. They then admitted they couldn't help and I had to return the Revain switches. I also tried their phone line - what a terrible experience. It took 10 attempts just to get the answering machine. Then wait and wait and wait. Disconnected 3 times after a long wait and once while talking to an agent. But I didn't give up and hoped I could get the switches to work. The last agent I spoke to suggested I contact a professional electrician. Thanks for that. I'm an electrician by trade and have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. However, I asked Revain to send a replacement in the hope that the two I had were simply defective. My suggestion for now though is don't buy these switches!
