This set is absolutely perfect for tea or for sharing a carafe of coffee with friends, and the mug is definitely my preferred glass for tea (versus ceramic or sipping / cupping glasses).One of the things that makes this mug appealing right off the bat is its design. It's nearly transparent (as much as a glass can be), and the double-wall design allows you to have a nerdy moment as you watch tea seep out of a teabag or splash some cream into your coffee. I could actually see this being a great little glass for tasting wine (if you like a handle - not sure if that's a thing?), thanks to its clarity.As a fan of Bodom glasses without handles, I was admittedly a bit skeptical of this one because of the handle. However, particularly with a really hot tea or coffee, coupled with the small amount (five ounces) of drink in this size glass, you don't want to disrupt the heat of the beverage with your hands. So the handle makes sense.Speaking of the handle, I didn't think it would be very comfortable in my hand based on the picture (and that is my other snobby side coming out), but it fit really nicely into my hand with lots of room for my fingers. The top part of the handle also had a really good length for my thumb to sit.Overall it's a comfortable, beautiful and functional glass that I really do love.NOTE: The only thing that held me back from giving this one a full rating was how easily the glasses seemed to break, given the thinness of the glassware and the double wall design. Upon receiving the shipment, one of the glasses had totally shattered in its bubble wrap (with a few shards found in the box). Another one of the glasses in my set got a significant crack after simply placing it on the countertop. However, Kitchables was pretty awesome about this and was kind enough to replace the glasses within a day (free of charge) with a glass design of my choice.
